Can I stay at Casa Naranja?

Yes! Everyone is welcome to come and stay.

The spirit of Casa Naranja is creating, sharing and giving forward.

There are various options available depending on your needs and the value that you add. Either there is an

1. exchange in service or

2. a monetary donation or

3. you stay as a creator / artist in residence which is monetary (200 usd / week ) and exchange in service.
   

What is an exchange?

If you have a product or service and think it will be of value to Casa Naranja (e.g. if you are a therapist, suggest some treatments you can do for our community or if you have a mezcal brand - please feel free to stock up the bar!)

What if I don’t have anything to exchange?

You can stay in a room and donate money towards our Migratory Bird Conservation Project - “Reservas y Monasterio y de Aves Migratorias”. Suggested amount is what you feel like and how much you would have more or less paid for an AirBnB. e.g 40 - 80 USD / night on average.

Donations are optional, but much appreciated.

How do I pay as an artist in residence?

What is the “Reservas y Monasterio y de Aves Migratorias” project?

Our community project and fund - supporting Migratory Bird Conservation. As a donor your name will go in the nest as a donor. Read more here .

What is the WIFI password?

Unfortunately there’s no WIFI at Casa Naranja. Mainly because it is a space of connecting, creating and relaxing together.

Where is the best place to go work?

When you need to do some work or ZOOM calls, please go to CAFE COMMUNIDAD in Calle Campeche - a few minutes walk from Casa Naranja.

How many rooms are in Casa Naranja?

There are two rooms. The blue room has a private en suite bathroom. The purple room is much larger and perfect for two people. It has a giant walk in wardrobe.

How long can I stay?

Stays at Casa Naranja is short term - up to 10 days. There are always people coming through Mexico City, so I want to keep the door open and energy fresh and flowing with creation. If you come as a creator in residence - the space is available for up to one month depending on the project you have.

If you are an artist in residence you can stay up to 4 weeks

Can I use the space for my services when I am there?

Yes. If you are a therapist, you can use the Energy Room at any time to do treatments. If you plan to do workshops, the front room is huge and you are welcome to use it to do sessions during your stay. I am also very happy to support with anything you need.

Then there is the kitchen for cooking up a storm and the Todo es Posible bar to do drinks, tastings and mini gatherings.

What are the arrival and departure logistics?

The address is 26 Iztaccihuatl - apartment number 502. Buzz for someone to let you in. Go to the 5th floor.

If you have keys already - please enter through the garage door with the BIG key. The SMALLER key lets you into the apartment.

There is always a spare key outside the door of the apartment. Just in case you loose the key.

When you leave please leave the key inside the apartment in the kitchen and just close the door behind you.

What is the etiquette while staying at Casa Naranja?

Please be a good guest and keep the vibes high!

No shoes in the house please. Leave it at the door - there are slippers available.

Help where you can in the place. Wash your own dishes, water the plants daily, help keep the space clean and tidy, ensure the drinking water canister is always filled, offer to make a cup of tea.

Please remove your bedding after your stay and leave in the laundry room.

The best guests contribute their energy towards Casa Naranja and always leave it better for everyone to enjoy. Some guests buy nice pot plants, fix a door, others use the services of our community therapists like getting treatments to pay it forward, others offer to cook for a night and so on!

What services are available?

A range of massages (3 hr massage is US $100,1 hr lymphatic are US $80, a reiki, acupuncture, flower ceremonies, movement classes, meditation, writing workshops, energy alignment, art classes, cooking classes and more.

Can I bring friends to Casa Naranja while I stay?

Yes, of course. Mi Casa es su Casa. Use it as your home - no big parties though and no noise after midnight.

Is it safe in the area?

Yes, Condesa is super safe and you can walk around alone and naked all day and night. There’s no trouble in the area.

Is there an emergency contact number of someone in the building?

Yes, Orlando (the care taker) and his family lives at the entrance of the building. Please introduce yourself when you are staying and tell him you are staying with Maz at Departemento 502.
